Abstract: The purpose of the article is to identify and describe the phenomenon of songs thematization in four prose texts by Russian-speaking writers of the Northern Asia of the last third of the XX century. The author insists on the relatedness of these works to the traditionalist phase of the creative thinking development; the text of the article combines the pagan perception of the world by the masters of the word, which results in specificity and the poetics of songs explicating in them. For the first time it is proved that the song thematization (along with the «chosen-ness» of a cultural hero and depiction of animals as a chosen) is one of the constitutive elements of the ontological prose by Ye. Aipin, Ch. Aitmatov, and A. Nerkagi. The devotedness of the cultural hero opens their way to the common folk song, which involves collectiveness and immensity; it also creates a special space for the eternal spiritual return. The article fixates the imperative of sound overflow through time and space, through the loss of physical boundaries, through the merge of the subject and the natural realities, through a shift of a song’s genesis in them as a marker of the universal harmony. The author explains the specifics of depicting the pagan world perception of masters of artistic expression.
