Big Data и управление образовательным процессом

Abstract

This article examines the characteristics of modernization of educational process management based on the Big Data concept. The author of the article highlights that there is a tendency to constant increase of information flows within the educational process since higher education system is open and becoming more and more technologically advanced. The author emphasizes that there is an opportunity of obtaining detailed information on the various students' activities to identify emerging problems. Dynamism, significant volumes and complex structure of the data on cognitive and social students’ activity require new approaches to the adequate formulation and solution of management problems. The author justifies the necessity of the Big Data methods and technologies implementation for the facilitated learning process management at the level of individual educational trajectories. The author considers meaningful and ethical problems of interpreting data on the students' activities in the context of the Big Data use for management decisions and pedagogical research. The author concludes that there is the need to train faculty and university administration to enable them to elaborate, make and implement management decisions, based on the identification and analysis of explicit and implicit patterns of the educational process.

Статья посвящена изучению особенностей модернизации управления образовательным процессом вуза на основе концепции Big Data. Показана тенденция к постоянному росту информационных потоков образовательного процесса в условиях открытости высшего образования и его активной технологизации. Отмечена возможность получения детализированной информации о различных видах деятельности обучающихся для выявления возникающих проблем. Динамичность, значительные объемы и сложность структуры данных о познавательной и социальной активности обучающихся обусловливают востребованность новых подходов к адекватной постановке и решению управленческих задач. Обоснована необходимость использования методов и технологий Big Data для оперативного управления процессом обучения на уровне индивидуальных образовательных траекторий. Показаны содержательные и этические проблемы интерпретации данных о деятельности обучающихся, актуальные в контексте использования Big Data для принятия управленческих решений и педагогических исследований. Сделан вывод о необходимости подготовки научно-педагогических и административных работников к выработке, принятию и реализации управленческих решений, основанных на выявлении и анализе явных и скрытых закономерностей образовательного процесса.
