Исламские топонимы в Сибири и на Дальнем Востоке

Abstract

Статья посвящена истории появления исламских наименований и их параллельного существования с официальной русской топонимией. Причины их появления могут быть связаны с миссионерской деятельностью периода Средневековья, а отказ от них – с русификаторской политикой и атеистической пропагандой советского периода. Сформировавшаяся за века совместного проживания практика «народной дипломатии» позволила сохранить двойные и тройные наименования на картах. Исламские названия в ХХI в. не связаны с религиозными предпочтениями местных жителей. Скорее, это следы культуры определенной эпохи. Топонимическая система тесно связана с антропонимами. Заимствования из арабского языка дополняются архаичными названиями и сложными языковыми конструкциями. Имена героев и образов в коллективной памяти, как считают исследователи, являются маркерами различных этапов истории. В фольклоре и топонимике соседствуют архаичные (древнетюркские) и мусульманские (в т. ч. арабские) имена. Современное гражданское общество демонстрирует терпимое отношение к религиозным топонимам прошлых столетий.

The article is devoted to the origins of Islamic-sounding names and their coexistence with the official Russian toponymy. The reasons for their emergence may be related to the influence of missionary activities in the Middle Ages, while their disappearance may be explained by the Russification policy or the atheistic propaganda of the Soviet period. The practice of people's diplomacy associated with centuries of living in the same territory enabled to preserve double / triple names on maps or in the memory of generations. Islamic names in such situations do not reflect religious preferances of present-day inhabitants, they are just traces of old times. The toponymic system is closely connected with anthroponyms. Borrowings from the Arabic language are complemented by archaic names and complex language patterns. Researchers believe that the names and images of heroes in the collective memory mark the milestones of history. Archaic (old Turkic) and Muslim (including Arabic) names coexist in folklore and toponymy. Modern civil society demonstrates a tolerant attitude towards toponyms with religious origins that came from the past centuries.
