Закат социальной Европы?

Abstract

Целью статьи является рассмотрение динамики построения единого социального пространства в Европейском союзе и связанных с этим процессом проблем. Эту проблему можно также определить как проблему сохранения системы социальной защиты в развитых европейских странах на высоком уровне в условиях продолжающейся интеграции и расширения ЕС за счет стран с менее развитой системой социальной защиты.

The article of Dr. Larisa Deriglasova «Decline of Social Europe?» examines the dynamics of social dimension of European integration and problems which derived from this process. The article aims to analyze the crisis of European welfare state in the context of European integration. There described main types of welfare state in Europe, development of social space of EU, and current situation with social protection in EU countries. It is argued that the development of EU adds to unfavorable development of welfare state in recent decades what leads to replacement of welfare state by individual welfare. It is expected the decline of state social provision and growth of private services what will result in growing gap between rich and poor, and further growth of euroscepticism in countries with developed welfare system.
