Переворот 9 термидора глазами члена Комитета общественного спасения

Abstract

Статья посвящена одному из самых спорных периодов Французской революции XVIII века. События нескольких месяцев, предшествовавшие падению Робеспьера и самому государственному перевороту, представлены с точки зрения обычного докладчика Комитета общественного спасения Национального Собрания-Бертрана Баррера, который в то время был одним из самых влиятельных депутатов Ассамблеи. Перед автором статьи стояла задача проанализировать взгляды Баррера на эскалацию конфликта внутри комитета, его отношение к причинам, основным участникам и последствиям государственного переворота. Более того, автор статьи попытался понять, почему этот видный член Комитета, долгое время соглашавшийся с политикой Робеспьера, накануне 9 термидора присоединился к противникам Робеспьера и поддержал заговор против него.

The article «The coup of 9 Thermidor seen by a member of the Committee of Public Salvation» is devoted to one of the most questionable periods of the French Revolution of the XVIII century. The events of a few months, which preceded the fall of Robespierre and the coup d'état itself, are presented from the point of view of the usual rapporteur of the Committee of Public Salvation at the National Convention-Bertrand Barrere, who was at that time one of the most influential deputies of the Assembly. The author of the article had the task of analyzing Barrere's opinions on the escalation of the conflict within the Committee, his attitude towards the causes, the main participants and the consequences of the coup. Moreover, the author of the article tried to understand why this eminent member of the Committee, who accepted Robespierre's policy for a long time, on the eve of the 9th Thermidor joined Robespierre's opponents and supported the conspiracy against him.

L’article «Le coup d’Etat du 9 Thermidor vu par un membre du Comite de Salut public» est consacree a une des plus discutables periodes de la Revolution frangaise du XVIII' siecle. Les evenements de quelques mois, qui precedent la chute de Robespierre et du coup d’Etat lui-meme sont presentes du point de vue du rapporteur habituel du Comite de Salut public a la Convention Nationale-Bertrand Barrere, qui etait a l’epoque un des deputes les plus influents de l’Assemblee. L’auteur de l’article a eu pour tache d’analyser les opinions de Barrere sur l’escalade du conflit au-dedans du Comite, son attitude envers les causes, les principaux participants et les consequences du coup d’Etat. De plus, l’auteur de l’article a essaye de comprendre pourquoi ce membre eminent du Comite, qui a accepte pendant longtemps la politique de Robespierre, a la veille du 9 Thermidor s’est joint aux adversaires de Robespierre et a soutenu la conspiration contre lui.
