Le fantastique dans La Dame de Pique de Pouchkine, un sujet qui pose probleme

Abstract

Pushkin’s «The Queen of Spades» belongs to the fantastic texts. While this article does not represent a complete linguistic or semiotic analysis of this famous work, it shows the author’s attempts to highlight the fantastic markers in this text, evoking numerous discussions. In analyzing the first chapter, the author determines whether the presented facts are related to a logical and realistic picture of events. It turns out that the strange (supernatural, fantastic) appears only in the episode «the story within the story». The second chapter of the story shows how the fantastic story told by Tomsky gradually becomes possible for the protagonist. The author notes the contradictory nature of Herman (his intellect is overwhelmed by passions, emotions) and compares it with another famous character – J. Sorel from Stendhal’s novel «Red and Black». In the analysis of the third chapter, the author refers to the four translations of this work into French and finds differences in the interpretations of the translators that significantly influence the perception of the text and the events described: supernatural events in the original text turn into natural events in translations. A careful reading of the subsequent chapters gives grounds to argue that the fantastic in the text is based on the readers’ doubts about the realism of what is happening, on the author’s intention to disorient them. The author also analyzes the concepts of the fairy (miraculous) and the fantastic and prove thats this work belongs to the category of the fantastic.

Notre propos n’est pas une nouvelle analyse linguistique ou sémiotique de la célèbre nouvelle de Pouchkine. Nous avons seulement voulu, en commentant notre lecture du texte et en consultant plusieurs traductions françaises dont la liste figure dans la bibliographie jointe, mettre en évidence les lieux du texte où le fantastique naît, disparaît, réapparaît.., en essayant de résoudre un problème que posent toutes les traductions françaises de ce texte russe, traductions qui furent parfois très contestées en Russie.

«Пиковая дама» А. С. Пушкина относится к текстам фантастическим. Наша статья не представляет собой полного лингвистического или семиотического анализа знаменитого произведения. Особенностью данной статьи является тот факт, что мы попытались выделить маркеры фантастического в этом тексте, вызывающем многочисленные дискуссии. При анализе первой главы мы определяем, связаны ли излагаемые факты в логическую и реалистичную картину событий. При этом выясняется, что странное, сверхъестественное, фантастическое появляется лишь в эпизоде «рассказ в рассказе». Вторая глава повести показывает, как фантастическая история, рассказанная Томским, постепенно становится для главного героя вероятной, возможной. Мы отмечаем противоречивый характер Германа (его рассудок обуреваем страстями, эмоциями) и сопоставляем его с другим известным персонажем – Ж. Сорелем из романа Стендаля «Красное и черное». При анализе третьей главы мы обращаемся к четырем переводам этого произведения на французский язык и обнаруживаем расхождения в интерпретации переводчиков, которые существенно влияют на восприятие текста и описываемых событий: сверхъестественные события в тексте оригинала превращаются в естественные события в переводах. Внимательное прочтение последующих глав дает основания утверждать, что фантастическое в тексте основано на сомнениях читателя в реалистичности происходящего, на авторском намерении дезориентировать его. Мы анализируем также понятия сказочное (чудесное) и фантастическое и доказываем, что данное произведение относится к разряду фантастических.
