The encyclopedia is dedicated to the life and work of the writer and philosopher V. V. Rozanov, which contains articles about people associated with Rozanov and about historical characters about whom he wrote. The article explores the role of animalistic symbols (images of fallow deer, chamois/gazelle, goat and moose) in V. V. Rozanov's work as a means of expressing his moral and aesthetic ideal. The author analyzes the ambiguity of the doe's image, from the embodiment of the tenderness and affection of the author's soul to biblical allusions.
