Abstract

Энциклопедия посвящена жизни и творчестве писателя и философа В. В. Розанова, в которой опубликованы статьи о лицах, связанных с Розановым и об исторических персонажах, о которых он писал. Статья посвящена анализу восприятия творчества Исаака Ильича Левитана в работах философа Василия Розанова. В центре внимания – противоречивая оценка Розановым живописи Левитана: с одной стороны, признание мастерства художника и его вклада в осмысление русской культуры, с другой – критика за «бесчеловечность» пейзажей и отсутствие в них драматизма и глубины русской жизни.

The encyclopedia is dedicated to the life and work of the writer and philosopher V. V. Rozanov, which contains articles about people associated with Rozanov and about historical characters about whom he wrote. The article is devoted to the analysis of the perception of the work of Isaac Ilyich Levitan in the works of the philosopher Vasily Rozanov. Russian Russian art focuses on Rozanov's contradictory assessment of Levitan's paintings: on the one hand, recognition of the artist's skill and contribution to understanding Russian culture, on the other hand, criticism for the "inhumanity" of landscapes and the lack of drama and depth of Russian life in them.
