Русско-английская дипломатическая переписка 1560-1640-х вв. в исследованиях И. И. Любименко

Abstract

Известная исследовательница русско-английских отношений второй половины XVI-XVII вв. И. И. Любименко выявила значительный комплекс особо важной дипломатической переписки времени Ивана Грозного и Елизаветы Великой, проанализировала динамику и основную проблематику этой переписки, раскрыла ее роль как исторического источника, высказала ряд существенных наблюдений относительно принципов издания адресованных британскому двору в 1560-х-1640-х гг. грамот московских государей и ответных посланий последних Тюдоров и первых Стюартов.

I. I. Lubimenko, an eminent scholar in the field of Russian-English relations of the second half of the 16th-17th centuries, discovered an extensive corpus of diplomatic correspondence, especially important for the period of reigns of Ivan the Terrible and Elisabeth the Great. She carried out an analysis of the evolution of this correspondence and the issues it had handled, ascertained its role as a historical source and made a series of notable suggestions as regards the principles of publishing the letters of the Russian monarchs of the 1560s-1640s to the British court and the replies of the last Tudors and the first Stuarts.
