«Типичный англичанин» как литературный образ

Abstract

Статья посвящена феномену национального характера. Проведен анализ доминантных черт характера образа «типичного англичанина» в художественной литературе Англии XIX-XX вв. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы для дальнейшего комплексного изучения национального характера в культурологии, философии, истории английской литературы и преподавании английского языка в вузах г. Омска.

The article is devoted to the national character of the Englishmen. The analysis of the dominant character features of the «Typical Englishman» image has been carried out in the English fiction of the XIX-XX centuries. The results of the research work can be used for the further complex study of the national character in cultural science, philosophy, history of the English literature and teaching of the English language at higher educational establishments in Omsk city.
